Before it all begins…
In a few hours, the final of World Cup 2010 begins. After 90 minutes of football party (or maybe 30 minutes more), the party ends. Then we will all leave South Africa behind. No constant news from South Africa. No constant images from South African football pitches.
Just want to say that I hope the promise of better world in Africa after the World Cup is not a false hope. Let’s remember even after we are feasting in ecstasy or crying a tragic defeat that Africa still needs a lot of help from the world.
This is supposed to be the higher cause. In joy and in sadness, we stand behind those who are in need.
Thank you Africa for those beautiful weeks!
